He had been married for twenty years and was living with his wife Margaret who was aged 42 and born in County Galway. She had had 8 children, four of whom were still alive. Their daughters Margaret Mary aged 18 and Annie Josephine aged 12 and sons James Bernard aged 16 and Michael Eugene aged 8.
Michael Eugene was born on 31st August 1902.
